And of course, we all know: a bit of physical activity is a great way to help you lose a few extra pounds. Once again, exercising allows you to increase your metabolism, which in turn helps you to burn more body fat more quickly.

I always say, any exercise is better than no exercise at all. The ideal would be to do a it of weight training combined with some cardiovascular training 3-4 times a week. But if you are not used at all to physical exercise, it’s also ok to do a quick walk in the park for 30-40 minutes maybe twice a week. Above all, chose physical exercises you like.

Be careful with sweets and drinks that contain a lot of sugar. Substitute soft drinks with water, green tea, pure orange juice (without any additional sweeteners)… Also, avoid alcoholic drinks as much as possible

As I already pointed out, the secret to losing weight quickly lies in speeding up the metabolism. This of course, this approach won’t allow you get rid of 20 pounds or more in a week. If you need to lose a lot of body weight, you would choose different, much more long-term approach to get rid of body fat.

 

Now, let’s have a closer look at our how to lose weight in a week plan:

  • Avoid foods containing lots of sugar and/or fat like sweets, burgers, French fries….
  • Certain nutrients like spices can help to accelerate your metabolism. So, don’t hesitate to add some spices to your food.
  • Ideally you should have 4-5 meals throughout the day. Have bigger meals in the morning and smaller ones in the afternoon and evening. Don’t skip any of your meals – especially your breakfast. If you skip one or several of your meals, your metabolism slows down, you will burn less calories and lose less weight. But please don’t misunderstand me, this of course doesn’t mean that you should stuff yourself – this won’t work neither. All I’m saying is that you shouldn’t starve yourself.
  • Try to have your meals containing proteins and carbohydrates in the morning, while having those meals that contain fats and proteins in the afternoon and evening.
  • Try to avoid eating after 7 o’clock in the evening. The metabolism slows down in the evening and at night and this means, the majority of the food you consume at these hours will be deposited as body fat.
  • In order to lose weight quickly it is also absolutely important to exercise. Ideal is a combination of weight and cardio training.
  • Do a 5 minute warm up, then maybe 20-30 minutes of weight training and close your training session with another 20-30 minute cardiovascular training. If you are looking for a fast way to lose weight in a week you need to make sure that your plan contains some form of physical exercise. If you are not used to exercising, try at least to have a good walk in the park

People often think the fastest way to lose weight is to fast for a few days. While this may be healthy every now and then, it won’t really help you to get rid of those extra pounds quickly. When you are fasting, your metabolism slows down and goes into what’s called survival mode.

In order to lose weight, you need to do the exact opposite, we have to activate the metabolism in order to burn calories and to get rid of unwanted body weight.

Another problem with fasting is that people starve for 2 or 3 days and then in order to reward themselves for the endured suffering they eat the wrong stuff and more than they should.   • Make sure to eat the right kinds of foods.
